Highlanders’ Home

NEWEST BLOG ENTRY HERE

After living nearly four decades in Oklahoma we decided to move to the mountains. We have enjoyed vacationing to Colorado many times over the past several years and decided that we will likely never has as much freedom and flexibility as we have at this moment. So we packed it up moved to the mountains west of Denver.

During the month of June we are renting a furnished house to let the kids start settling in with some of their summer commitments up here. We actually move again in July to a more permanent setting; we have a one-year rental lined up near Elk Meadow, just down the road from the epic Mt. Evans!

We have been very blessed to have scores of family and friends in OKC. Many of them came to send us off, and we are grateful for their support and love as we begin our new adventures in Colorado. Since we’re trying to bridge a gap of nearly a thousand miles, we are going to maintain a blogroll and these various webpages so our friends and family can track along and share in some of our adventures…at least vicariously. 🙂

We are excited to explore our new home state. Folks who know us best know that we hardly ever stop moving. We like to have a lot of projects & commitments going at any given time. As on any of our pages, we encourage our friends and family – or other interested folks – to post comments, suggestions, or share ideas with us! Please follow along and share your thoughts and comments with us as we go.
